On September 18, MRBA, our industry’s charity, launched MRBA Skills – a new bursary programme for UK researchers. Initially there are up to 10 bursaries available to help those UK researchers fund the cost of the MRS Advanced Certificate in Market and Social Research Practice.
In addition to individual researchers, those eligible to apply include smaller UK companies wanting to support their staff develop their skills but do not have the training budget to do so; as well as self-employed, freelance and unemployed UK researchers who cannot fund the cost of this qualification themselves.
I’m delighted MRS is working with MRBA on this initiative to help remove one of the biggest barriers to improving standards in our industry – the cost. The more we can encourage market and social researchers to take this degree-level vocational qualification, the more it will benefit them in their careers, improve standards in our industry and ultimately deliver better insight to clients.
