MRS launches new resources for inclusive research

MRS is driving the inclusion agenda within the research and insight sector with the launch of new guidance and resources for inclusive research.

• Diversity and Inclusion Best Practice Guides

The MRS Senior Client Council has developed and published three new Diversity & Inclusion Best Practice guides. The first of their kind in the UK, these comprehensive guides act as a framework for research professionals to help ensure diverse sampling and inclusive methodologies. 

• Representation in Research FAQs

The MRS Representation in Research group has been talking to research practitioners across the UK about the issue of participant representation in UK research projects. More specifically, how we can improve representation of groups that are often underrepresented. Over the course of this process, we have developed the following FAQs.

• Webinar:  the Future of Nap Rep - 1 July

In February 2022 the MRS Representation in Research group sent out a survey to MRS Company Partners with the aim of building a clear picture of the current understanding and practice of ‘Nationally Representative’ research in the UK. Join MRS for a webinar, where we will take you through the results of the survey and invite debate and further conversation on the topic.

• The MRS Diversity, Inclusion & Equality Changemaker List 2022
  

Initiated and sponsored by Truth, this DI&E Changemaker list seeks to recognise individuals in the research, insight and data analytics sector who are making specific contributions to meaningful diversity, inclusion and equality initiatives – either within their own organisations or as part of work they do in their wider communities.

• Training: Goodbye to Stereotypes – Designing Research That is Effective, Fair and Empowering - 13 June

This training session will help you address biases and blind spots, along with offering guidance on research design that will enable you to achieve valid and effective results.

• Article on Research Live - A Welcome Approach

A diverse and inclusive workplace is one where all employees are made to feel equally involved and supported. The MRS Inclusion Pledge is the optimal way for companies to show that they are serious about striving to achieve diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) at work, as Colette Doyle discovers.
