Today MRS is announcing the relaunch of Research Live, the leading source of news and opinion for the global research sector.

One of the things people often ask me is how MRS can help them communicate their successes, at a personal, project or a company level.

We are in a fortunate and increasingly rare situation of having an influential, high quality and impartial source of news and opinion to support and promote the extraordinary work of the research sector.

Our investment in Research Live is an investment in the future of the sector. Thank you to launch sponsor Opinium for recognising this important milestone.

Why now?

We’re all feeling the speed of change and the challenges this presents. The new website will be even better at highlighting and sharing the best the sector has to offer so that we can all do better for our clients and stakeholders.

Our business crosses borders and we need a platform that reflects and celebrates the international nature of the research sector.

Research Live is the most international of all MRS platforms:

  • 37% of traffic is from the US, 28% from the UK
  • figures from all world regions, notably India and Asia Pacific, have tripled this year

So what’s new?

THE BIG READ: A turning point for the industry?

In this ‘state of the nation’ report, Research Live explores the forces of change shaping the sector, examining whether we are seeing a fundamental reshaping of the role of insight and its people.

Still serving daily industry news from around the world, the new website will:

Research Live is run by professional journalists who speak to people, who understand the nuance and complexity of your work, who follow not just trends suggested by algorithms but those they hear about through frequent conversations across all levels of the sector, with research buyers, suppliers, critics and advocates.

We want to showcase the best work and the most challenging opinions, find out how you can contribute.
