Whether you are a current freelance researcher, a researcher newly 'going it alone' or just thinking about taking that step, there are a number of additional skills you may have to learn. One of those will be website development – essential if you want to have full control over your website, change any content on your website ‘on-the-fly’ and avoid the fees that come with outsourcing website development.
For those researchers who aren’t familiar with using it, this introductory course will show delegates how to use WordPress, so that each delegate will have their very own free website at the end of the training. There will be no need to purchase your own domain name or hosting beforehand, as we'll be using free WordPress website templates and free WordPress domain names for training purposes on the day.
