The new participant UI provides researchers with the ability to deliver surveys in a familiar, engaging chat interface.

FlexMR have created a brand-new user interface that provides participants with a familiar and engaging survey experience. The Conversational Surveys interface is designed to feel like a natural conversation that listens and reacts to responses in real-time; it is equipped with a variety of classic survey answer options and uses the power of generative artificial intelligence in FlexMR’s PromptAI tool to adapt and probe in a personalised manner.

This new survey user interface engages participants by mimicking organic conversation, feeding back new questions with a variety of answer options including, single and multiple-choice responses, free text responses and recorded video clips. To create impactful Conversational Surveys on InsightHub, Insight experts have detailed programming options, complex branching logic and the ability to pipe previous answers into questions and set target quotas all at their disposal.

FlexMR Tech Lead, Nana Akwah, adds, “Conversational surveys bring a fresh, participant-centric approach to customer feedback, styled in a format that mirrors the familiar chat interfaces that people use daily. This intuitive design transforms the survey process making the experience more personal and engaging for participants which in turn helps to unlock deeper and more authentic insights. By creating a natural, dialogue-driven experience, we are able to uncover richer context, offering a more personal way for brands to connect and understand their customers.”

Adding PromptAI questions to a conversational survey using the power of generative AI means that the surveys don’t just act in response to participant input, the surveys adapt and probe in a truly personalised manner to each individual answer. These surveys are optimised for both website and mobile usage, with clients able to use them on FlexMR’s InsightHub platform or embedded in websites off-platform to collect insights on customer experience, NPS, stakeholder satisfaction, and more.

FlexMR’s Insight Manager, Harriet Williams, comments, “Conversational surveys present a much-needed opportunity to reduce the level of formality surrounding survey completion, especially in B2C research. This is of crucial importance, especially when collecting sensitive data from respondents where formality can create a sense of pressure to respond in a ‘correct’ or ‘socially acceptable’ way. Our new conversations surveys also work as a great alternative to traditional surveys where shorter, ad-hoc alternatives are required.”
