5th February 2007
This meeting was held in order to provide an opportunity for users to contribute their views on the future National Statistics small area geography policy for England and Wales.
As part of its planning process for the 2011 Census, the ONS consulted with stakeholders and users of the Census, Neighbourhood Statistics and other small area data. Full details about the consultation may be obtained from www.onsgeography.net - the consultation closed on 16th February 2007, however the consultation paper and ‘blog’ postings are still available.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the ONS proposals, put forward views and help to shape the CGG’s response.
Following the meeting the CGG made a written submission to the consultation, reflecting the range of views that had been expressed.
