The Recruiter Accreditation Scheme (RAS) was developed by the MRS and the Association for Qualitative Research (AQR) to raise the profile and status of recruiters, by devising a training and accreditation scheme that recognises the knowledge, skills and competence of professional recruiters.
After four years of success with over 540 individuals having gone through the RAS training course and achieving accreditation, we are now evolving the scheme into its next phase - the Recruiter Training Programme.
MRS/AQR will continue to offer RAS accreditation alongside the standalone Recruiter Training Programme, giving recruiters the opportunity to complete the recruiter training programme without having to also complete the three yearly examination and the annual renewal confirming accreditation.
It will no longer be a mandatory obligation for MRS Company Partners and RAS Accredited Companies, to use RAS Accredited Recruiters when buying qualitative research recruitment services. Although, it will be best practice to use RAS Accredited Recruiters where possible, to ensure the highest levels of recruitment excellence, or as a minimum those recruiters who have completed the RAS Recruiter Training Programme.
These changes will be implemented from the beginning of April 2025. To help to inform the market and to give you an opportunity to ask questions, MRS & AQR are hosting this webinar to update RAS recruiters and the wider MRS membership on this phase, as well as giving attendees an opportunity to ask questions. Please click the orange ‘book now’ button to reserve your free space on the webinar.
We have also developed some FAQs on the changes, which are available here. If you have any queries, please contact ras@mrs.org.uk
